Ian has owned the guitar since the 90s and was it used on many of his recordings. It can be seen here in the Big Wreck Inhale video:
http://www.spike.com/video/big-wreck-inhale/2789099

This guitar is a very RARE 1997 Gibson Custom Shop "Lonnie Mack" Flying V.
Description:
• Red finish
• Mahogany body
• Rosewood fret board,
• '58 Humbuckers
• Silver Hardware
• Bigsby tremolo arm.

Plays and sounds amazing. Other than some good old “Rock’n’Roll wounds” courtesy of BIG WRECK and some of Ian’s DNA embedded in the fretboard, the guitar is in very good condition.

If the winner of the auction wishes the guitar to be signed, Ian will personalize it.

Below is a note about the guitar from the Gibson guitars website about this Flying V model:

“Lonnie Mack's V, which he called "Seven," was practically a mail-order bride. He put money down at Cincinnati, Ohio's Glenn Hughes Music after eyeballing the model in the Gibson catalog. While many players scoffed at its cut, Mack marveled at the arrow-like shape-a figure that literally aimed toward the future-and admired the pair of humbuckers on the V's face. When his arrived, Mack was told it was the seventh off the production line. Almost immediately Mack modified "Seven" with a Bigsby vibrato arm. Mounting the vibrato required setting a metal bar between the guitar's Cadillac-like fins and transformed "Seven" into the most recognizable Flying V on the planet.”
